Greetings from Pittsboro! As some of you might know, Pat and I have made our escape from the suburban sprawl of North Atlanta and have relocated to a quirky little town in North Carolina called Pittsboro. We are about 20 miles from Chapel Hill down the infamous highway 15-501. I decided to start a blog to keep everyone up-to-date on our adventures in the "Pitt", as we fondly refer to our new haven.

The Chatham MarketPlace
If you walk out our front door and walk down the street to the right the road ends, but if you look carefully you will see a path through the woods (Jan & Jerry have been). At the end of the path is an open space and the old Chatham Mill buildings. The Marketplace is located at the end of the building. It is our local food co-op. It is not very large but all kinds of local things are sold...chicken, cheese, milk, fruits and vegetables that come from the area. They make breakfast lunch and dinner, have wireless, an outdoor eating area, and bake the best stuff. Katrina and I walked through the woods to get milk yesterday afternoon and noticed that they had planted all kinds of gardens in the front and added some more metal vegetable sculptures. Katrina sits outside by the chairs and waits while we get what we need. Its all so Pittsboro. And Kristy and David and Harriett have been too.
